SHOULD HOMEOWNERS FURNISH THEIR PROPERTIES PRIOR RENTAL?
Different real estate agencies, including ours, sometimes stage houses with furniture. But is it going to be beneficial for a landlord to rent a furnished property?
What is a furnished property for rent?
A furnished rental property is a property that is fully equipped with different pieces of furniture, which can make the life of a renter easier and allow him/her to buy almost no furniture.
What is a fully furnished property?
A fully furnished rental property is supposed to have all the necessary types of furniture in each room. So, the living room, for example, should have a soft sitting, such as sofa, coffee table, and lamps/ceiling lighting. A bedroom should be equipped with a mattress, a bed frame, nightstands, and a dresser. A kitchen should store all the necessary silverware, tableware, pans and pots, and other utensils that could be needed.
What is a semi-furnished property?
A semi-furnished rental property is somewhat in between fully furnished and unfurnished properties. The typical semi-furnished houses should provide ceiling fans, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, and curtain rob. So, technically it should be a previously inhabitant property with all the basic fixtures.

Pros and cons of unfurnished property:
Basically, to understand if you should furnish the property before leasing it, you need to ask yourself two main questions:
- Is furnishing the apartment going to bring more profit in the long-run perspective?
- Is it worth the extra costs and time consumption of furnishing your property?
Also, you should decide whether you’re going to prefer short-term or long-term rent.
